Sympathy
I, like all of us, hate having to write a sympathy card. This one is probably one of the hardest as this lady, my friend and ex-mother-n-law passed away this past week. She was 94 and lived a long happy life. I met the family back in 1984 and continued a relationship after her son and I divorced. I stayed in touch with them as well as a brother and sister-n-law. My heart ached when I received the phone call of her passing. I had visited with her last year on my visit to Virginia and she updated me on the grandchildren and the great grandchildren. We then reminisced about the fun times and laughs we shared over the years. I left that day and knew I needed to stay in touch and visit again. I would call her periodically to see how she was doing and she would always say she was fine. I have a trip scheduled the first week of October to attend my class reunion and Betsy was the first person on my list to visit. I'm sorry to say that I did not get the chance to see her one last time but she will always be in my thoughts with happy memories.
Below are the sympathy cards I made for my ex, his sister and brother letting them know how much their parents meant to me.
