National Pet Owners Day

April 18th is National Pet Owners Day.  Pet owners reap countless benefits:  emotionally, mentally and physically.

A pet is overjoyed to see us walk through the door.  And going for a walk or playing fetch in the yard with her owner gets a dog’s tail wagging.  When we cuddle and play interactively with our cats, they may start kneading with their front paws out of pure delight.  Watching a pet frolic in his cage, exercise ball or aquarium gives an owner a good feeling inside.  The way our pets look at us with unconditional love tugs at the heart strings and positively affects the emotional part of the brain.

Most of you would think I would post a picture of my dog but I decided to design a different card with a pet theme and that is of a horse.  Since I live near the horse capital of Florida and one of my co-workers has a horse I thought this card would be appropriate.

I hope you enjoy.  Please leave a comment with your thoughts around National Pet Owner's Day.
